Backstage at The Weeknd concert

An inspiring trip with set designer Es Devlin as part of my theatre design course.

I got to see and hear about the design process of Es’ work and others from lighting technicians to creative directors.

This female robot installation is by Hajime Sorayama check out more on his website here. Stunning work!

Getting up close to the city set was great; the detail and artistry were amazing.

The moon, was also stunning adding to the ambience and city and space like theme.

I’m mostly used to The Weeknd‘s older songs so was also lovely hearing more newer work. He is becoming more know by his name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye.

Insightful and fun day and night! More of Es’ stunning work here.
