‘Big Magic’ by Elizabeth Gilbert
Having been captivated by ‘Eat Pray Love’ I was excited to find another of Elizabeth Gilbert’s books ‘Big Magic’ in my local thrift store.
The very notion of creativity I find interesting to read and research about and I am a huge advocate for exploring and accessing the inner creativity we all have.
I wasn’t prepared for Gilbert’s take! I found it wacky yet certainly magical. She gives a unique and insightful perspective on ideas and creativity that was a page turner for me.
Gently, Big Magic can help to dispel negative beliefs or low self esteem that you may have about your work (whatever the profession) and supports the reader to be courageous and, of course, creative.
I enjoyed the woven stories throughout the book which all had a tale of overcoming fear.
Creative blocks, low confidence in your work or just to explore the very notions of ideas and creating further, I’d recommend this book.
