What if Peter Pan wore a hoodie?!

The production of Peter Pan at The Kenneth Moore Theatre in East London, UK got me thinking. No, the boy who never grew up wasn’t in a hoody….

It was such a joy seeing my son and his buds enjoying theatre this afternoon (wearing jumpers with hoods, not hood on inside of course…!). One of whom had only visited the theatre once with school. I know not every brown boy in a hoodie may appear to love the theatre but they do and join in the panto moves at that! One of the actors was copying my sons moves- so funny.

I mention the brown boy in hoodie aspect because of the stereotyping and unconscious bias too often placed on young people that can easily develop into a self fulfilled prophecy.

Theatre for all!
